as well. Furniture Today’s 2004 consumer buying trends survey found that 50% of
Americans who bought upholstered furniture did so because their old furniture had worn
out.
“Fine furniture”, however, remains a stalwart of our society. Those who can afford better
quality home furnishings sustain the market demand for these products. Once a person owns
a piece of fine furniture, either antique or more contemporary, the tendency is to keep it and
preserve its integrity through reupholstering and refinishing
